An affordable solution for people with serious debt problems.

A number of solutions exist for individuals with financial difficulties. None, however, offer the flexibility, affordability and protection from creditors, coupled with the freezing of ongoing interest, that a Protected Trust Deed provides.

Basically, a Protected Trust Deed offers complete piece of mind.

• All pressure from creditors is removed.
• All interest is frozen.
• We will deal with all correspondence and queries from creditors.
• Your client will pay one affordable monthly repayment.
• Your client can agree the proposal which will be put to creditors by the trustee, therefore retaining a degree of control over their finances.
• After completion of a protected Trust Deed, your clients are completely debt-free.

By signing a Trust Deed your client will transfer all of their assets (normal household items are excluded) to a Trustee. Assets which are likely to be included in the Trust Deed include their share of equity in their home (if any), cars, investments or any other significant assets. The Trust Deed will be in force for an agreed period, generally three years, at the end of which the funds available will be paid to your clients’ creditors. Any remaining debts due to these creditors over and above the payment made will be written off. At this point, your client will not be required to make any further payment in respect of debts incurred prior to signing the Trust Deed.

Trust Deeds are available to all residents of Scotland who have been resident for at least 6 months.
